NAMS 7 (Niche Affiliate Marketing System) In Review

My heart is full as I write this post. As I’m writing I’m sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for my flight to board and feeling so grateful for the experience I take home with me.

Here’s a little picture summary:

Awesome friends from NAMS7 - Niche Affiliate Marketing Systems

How do I even begin to quantify the value of attending my first (and definitely not last) NAMS Conference? How do I begin to impart to you how important it really is to get the opportunity to look your colleagues and prospects in the eyes. If you’re not doing so, you’re missing something big in your business.

It’s really something you’ve got to experience to fully understand but I’m going to do my very best to tell you why I think conferences and offline events like the one I just attended this weekend are essential to your online business growth.

1. Inspiration – Who doesn’t get inspired by the success of others? I know I do. I have never been to an offline event where there wasn’t someone to inspire me. It could be a little thing like the personal touch Lain Ehmann added to her session, or the incredible story of Connie Ragen Green that me tear up a time or two. We all love to hear and learn from the experiences of others. There’s no better place to do this than when in the presence of those who can inspire us.

2. Motivation – We all get into slumps in our businesses and get stalled in our tracks. Attending an offline workshop or conference is a great and fast way to give yourself a kick in the butt! At NAMS I got an idea for a new pricing struture to test out and two partnership deals to work on. That’s motivating me big time! I can’t wait to get home and get started. Not to mention that I’m whipping up this article with the few spare moments left before I get headed home.

3. Education – Of course you’ll learn something new when you get out to an event where people are presenting techniques and ideas you’ve not heard before. I especially liked the sessions that helped me create plans for my business right now, like Jack Born’s talk about how us humans are pretty good at going round and round in circles or Bob The Teacher’s sessions on creating income from coaching programs. Oh! I can’t forget Carrie Wilkerson and Paul Evans talk where I learned that if I run every potential task or job through a special check that I’ll be able to blast my business forward much more quickly (you can hear about how to set that up and listen to all the 80+ hours of recordings HERE)

4. Socialization – By now I’m sure you know that you can’t build a business in a box. I can’t even tell you how excited I was to connect with friends and colleagues I’ve known online for years. For example, I met Kelly McCausey, Nicole Dean, Susanne Myers, Karin Magar, Tracy Roberts & Angie Newton from a membership group I’ve been a member of since 2004! Yep, yep, that’s a long time indeed. It was a joy to see them all. I also got to meet Michelle Schoen, Lynn Terry, Connie Ragen Green, Carrie Wilkerson, Willie Crawford and so many more. Just in case you’re wondering some of the best business partnerships come from people you’ve built a great relationship with. This is where it starts, getting out there and shaking hands!

I’m sure if you find the review post of someone else that has a totally different experience from me. That’s the great thing about experiencing an event like this – you get to take what you NEED from the event and leave the rest. I loved it so much and I am positive I’ll be back for another event.

TTYL, Angela :)

p.s. I didn’t win the Netbook but what I did get from the event was totally priceless so I’m still happy. If you bought the audios then make sure you email me so you can get your free bonus!

How great to hear Heather that you’ll be going to NAMS in August, I’m sure you’ll have a blast. I’m probably not going to be able to make that one as I think I’ll have a wedding to go to, but I’ll definitely be back to the next one I can make it to.

Yep, worth the trip and if you fly from Buffalo you can save some bucks ;)

Oh Angela, it was so great to finally meet you after years online over at Solo Masterminds. What a great time at NAMS.

I’m heading to Blog World Expo for the 1st time in June so it will be interesting to see the differences between the two conferences. I know NAMS is very small compared to Blog World so I can’t wait to see how it goes.

So glad to hear you really enjoyed NAMS. I sure hope to see you there in Aug.
