Just bought my ticket to Wordcamp Toronto! I’m excited because I’m a huge fan of WordPress.

Every new site I build in WordPress because it’s easy to use, quick to update and of course I know how to customize and tweak the program to create a very good looking website.

One of the reasons why I want to go to Wordcamp is to definitely learn and grow my WordPress skills. I know there will be all kinds of tidbits of wisdom I can pick up from the speakers.

But the main reason I love going to events is meeting like minded people!

As I’m sure you know it’s not every day that you run into people who KNOW what WordPress IS let alone how to use it. Getting the chance to meet, talk to and share ideas with others who really get what you do is an awesome thing.

Other benefits of attending offline events?

  • The energy is high and that’s a formula for motivation! I always come back from events motivated to really take action on my business.
  • The relationships that grow create true business connections. I have worked with and made money with people I’ve met offline. I’m much more likely to work with someone I’ve met offline and really feel like I know then someone who I’ve only talked to online or over the phone.

    • Well I could just go on and on but I really just wanted to post about the event in case any of my readers are attending (let’s make sure we connect and say hi!) or if you are on the fence about attending offline events – I say go for it whenever you can!
