It&#039;s definitely tough to make a good living as a freelancer, that&#039;s why I would always recommend freelancing to start while adding in other streams of income so you don&#039;t have to always work so hard.

It&#039;s also smart of you to hold onto the part time job while you build your business, I didn&#039;t quit my full time job until I couldn&#039;t do both any longer and had to either quit my job or start turning down business.

I know when I first started trying to make an online income I tried lots of different ways. 

But I always seemed to gravitate back to writing content for others - until I realised that I was working for below the minimum wage!

I took on every client and was working all the hours I could, researching then writing. It was taking over my life!

Now I have decided to concentrate on blogging and see where that leads me. I know that it will leave me with a lot more time to enjoy my children and grandchildren.

I am fortunate to still have a guaranteed income (part time j.o.b...) to see me through the lean times that are an inevitable part of beginning again.
