It’s definitely tough to make a good living as a freelancer, that’s why I would always recommend freelancing to start while adding in other streams of income so you don’t have to always work so hard.

It’s also smart of you to hold onto the part time job while you build your business, I didn’t quit my full time job until I couldn’t do both any longer and had to either quit my job or start turning down business.

I know when I first started trying to make an online income I tried lots of different ways.

But I always seemed to gravitate back to writing content for others – until I realised that I was working for below the minimum wage!

I took on every client and was working all the hours I could, researching then writing. It was taking over my life!

Now I have decided to concentrate on blogging and see where that leads me. I know that it will leave me with a lot more time to enjoy my children and grandchildren.

I am fortunate to still have a guaranteed income (part time j.o.b…) to see me through the lean times that are an inevitable part of beginning again.
