On Gene Simmons & Confidence
I was watching TV last night (something I do rarely) and I caught ‘The Hour’. I think George Stroumboulopoulos is awesome and has a fantastic interview style, so laid back and open.
On the show he had Gene Simmons, you know from KISS.
And it just struck me how awesome Gene thinks he is.
He said something that really stood out too (coming from a marketing mastermind you better take note): If you don’t promote yourself, nobody else will – that’s reworded but you get the point.
Confidence is infectious.
People love to see someone who believes in themselves. Lots of people certainly, especially ladies, love Gene.
Some people think that being over-confident is bragging, being high on yourself and putting yourself on a pedestal. I’ll admit, I’ve thought that a few times myself. But I dunno, you’ve just got to believe in yourself and show it so others can put their trust in you too.
You know yourself the best, right? If you know yourself THAT well and still don’t believe in yourself why should anyone else?? Why do we look to get our validation from others when we know what we are capable of – we just need to let everyone else know we can do it. So be like Gene and tell the world how awesome you are!
