Why I Blog – My Committment to You

28 August 2009 | 0 Comments

Ever wonder why you blog? marketers-mojo-blogIf you don’t know you might be wasting your time blogging for the wrong reasons. I’ve been thinking about my business a LOT lately and I’ve come to the conclusion that I love my blog, I really do.

If you talk to anyone who knows me you’ll hear them say that I can’t shut up about my business. I have an obsession with telling anyone who wants to hear what I’ve learned and I know I won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Since I can’t stop talking about internet marketing, working from home, and making money the way I want to it’s only natural that the format of blogging fits well with my personality. I don’t just want to TALK – I want to INTERACT.

And during our conversions here on my blog I want you, my readers, to get the most amazing value from what I offer. That’s why I’m upping my game and making it public to you right now:

I am making a big commitment right here and right now to make this the best blog I possibly can on how to work from home, automate for productivity and make money without selling your soul or working like crazy for frustrating clients.

I know it can be done. I’ve tasted so many different ways to ‘make money online‘ but I’ve never fully committed to one and gave it my ALL. I’m telling you right now I’m going to be giving my ALL to you and to this blog. I will put about 80% of my business focus, time and energy into building an amazing resource for women who want to work from home, kids in tow and want to do it with all their ethics and morals IN TACT!!!

I have crazy-good skills in technology, in figuring out how things work and how to make them work really well for you. I love getting in and playing around with stuff and I’m not afraid to break it (and sometimes I do break things!). That’s what I want to share with you here.

I want to share with you:

  • where I am
  • how I got here
  • how you can do it
  • what tools to use
  • what methods work for me
  • what you might want to try
  • and what you should definitely stay away from
  • and so much more!
  • Honestly I feel like my skills are seriously wasted when I do too much ongoing client work, it’s just not my ‘thing’. Not to say I don’t enjoy working with clients per say, I just know my skills are better suited to working with clients in other ways, like doing an affiliate program setup, telephone coaching or something challenging but short term. I’m very good at doing the work but where I really shine is sharing information, no holds barred and giving you it all without worrying about getting directly paid for the specific hours I put in to give you the info.

Talking about getting paid: Yes I still plan to get paid for the work and effort I put into this blog, but not in a direct ‘hourly’ fashion. I know if I provide you with the highest quality content, give you advice on the products you already need and feedback and help when you ask for it then you will trust in me and take my recommendations when YOU need it.

And I don’t just recommend crap! (see my pledge for more on that)

My personal affiliate marketing rule is to only recommend products, coaching or services I either:
    1. Have used myself
    or
    2. Have direct knowledge that it comes from a very credible source. Such as coming from a member of the Mom Masterminds group I belong to – a tight-knit group of powerful, ethical and honest mom marketers.

So, yes, expect to see my referral links in posts but know that they come only as valuable resources that I am recommending after doing my own research and not just to make a quick buck. I believe in hard work and I plan to show you that by the quality you’ll see right here on this blog.

You can also expect to see a lot more posts coming through. You might even see more than one per day. If you want to keep up you can subscribe to my RSS feed, just make sure you choose a digest if you choose to subscribe via email so you don’t get them as they come out.

That’s it for today and possibly for the weekend (still have my 20% other work to do) but expect to hear a lot from me next week. I hope to hear back from you too!
