Super Affiliate Challenge Day 3 – Basic Services, Software & Know-How

I’m reviewing another Chapter from the Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner and getting more pumped about ramping up my affiliate marketing. This chapter covers Basic Services, Software & Know-How.

This chapter is all about getting organized. It’s only seven pages but covers a seriously important part of your affiliate marketing. I know what it’s like to be so poorly organized you can’t find anything. It’s a huge time suck. There are certain services and software you should use in your affiliate business that will speed up your efforts.
One of those services is Google. There are so many amazing, free tools Google offers that make your business run smoother, whether you are an affiliate or not. In fact, I wrote a post a while ago about all the ways I love Google. For my own business I use Gmail, Google Docs, Google Search (of course), Webmaster Tools, Keyword Tools, Calendar, Alerts, and more. Most of those help keep me seriously organized when it comes to affiliate marketing too.
Another important place to keep organized covered in the Handbook is your email. When it comes to email I personally love Gmail. Rosalind recommends another program but stresses that it’s important to keep your email organized, especially when you get 500+ emails per day like she does!
Oh and remember how I was talking about my affiliate spreadsheet yesterday? Well it seems I skipped ahead a day because it is covered in this section. Definitely important to have a way to keep track of the affiliate programs you joined and your login info so you can go back and check on your cash.
Those are just three of the essential areas to keep organized in your business and Rosalind gets into much more detail about how to do that in the book. I recommend you grab it and follow along with me so you know exactly what you need to propel your affiliate marketing forward.

Hey, I’m following along with your challenge. I have SAHB but I haven’t read it in a while.
I noticed you downloaded Winzip as part of your action taken? That’s not free software…you’re better off using the one I use called Izarc (google it). Its free and does everything Winzip does and more.

Thanks so much for the tip Jay! Actually I do have a free program called Coffee Cup Zip on my computer but I don’t like it much so I thought I’d see if Winzip can do better for me. Will check out Izarc though too.

Excellent! Don’t you just feel bad when you’ve bought something and haven’t used it yet? I know I’ve done that more than a few times and now I’m determined to use the awesome tools and resources I already have.
Anyway, great to have you join me! (and it’s awesome that you already work out!) Of course I know you’ll be careful not to give away too much of the book – what I’ve been doing is overviewing what is in each chapter, adding my own comments and then sharing what I’ve done to move my own affiliate marketing ahead.
Anyone who’s following this challenge will definitely get more out of it if they get the book and the idea is to show how actually focusing on using it will give us real monetary results!
