Today is Day 10 of the Super Affiliate Challenge (click that link if you want to see what it’s all about).
I’m reviewing another Chapter from the Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner and getting more pumped about ramping up my affiliate marketing. This chapter covers Growing Your Business.
How are you doing with this? Are you following along and doing stuff or just following along for now until you get the book? I know some of my readers mentioned that you do already have the book – I’d love to hear what you’ve been doing.
I’m really enjoying doing this challenge and can see myself doing a lot more. My hope is that if you are interested in affiliate marketing I am giving you a real deep look into what the book is about. There are a couple of reasons for this:
1. I want to help you along with the buying decision if you are considering this book and want to know more about it.
2. I want to help you USE the book after you’ve bought it by following along with the challenge.
3. (and this is my selfish reason) I want to use it myself too and keeping a public record like this keeps me motivated to DO SOMETHING!
So today’s topic is Grow Your Business and it covers some really good stuff:

404 Error
1. The first thing I did was fix up my 404 Error page:
It had just my categories and archives and a search box so I added an opt-in to my email list.
Thank Ya!
2. Then, I decided to add an audio to my thank you pages:
It’s not overly important to have an audio on your thank you pages but I do feel it’s a great touch to initiate a personal connection with my subscribers.
Also, I had made a big branding mistake that I let go too long. On the thank you page for MarketersMojo and also AffiliateCommotion.com I had something to the effect of:
“Click play for a message from Angela”
The problem was there was no audio! That’s a bad first impression I was giving to every single new subscriber. If my thank you pages are half-finished, they might be wondering what else I don’t have finished or not done well. I’m about quality and it was just a little glitch that could mean a lot to my business – All fixed now!

I recently fixed up my 404 error page as well. But I didn’t think to put the actual opt in to my email list in there. I have the link to my subscribe page, but maybe I should put the optin to my free monthly coaching tips.
Also, I thought about creating a thank you page but never did. I think it’s time I create one.

I just completed creating a bunch of Thank you pages for my subscribers. Not really a bunch but enough. For my coaching site I fixed the 404 page and put the optin for my free newsletter. Oh, and I can’t forget the success page. Thank you so much for these tips. Along with the Breakthrough session over at mom masterminds I feel like I am plugging some holes in my boat.
