On Sunday I watched the season finale of So, You Think You Can Dance, Canada!

Every time I watch the show I get emotional. I took dance as a kid. I used to choreograph little dances for my friends and we’d line up our parents as the audience to show off our moves. From somewhere deep down that dream of being a dancer surfaces when I watch the show.

But I’m an internet marketer. I absolutely love what I do. But the differences between dancer and internet marketer are pretty much worlds apart.

Dancers VS Internet Marketers

Dancers work keeps them in top shape.

Internet Marketers work sometimes creates a challenge to keep in shape.

Dancers express their work with their bodies.

Internet Marketers express their work through their computers.

Dancers show their face and body every time they work.

Internet Marketers have quite a bit of anonymity since their work is usually content and not always personality based.

Dancers can express a huge range of feelings, emotions and stories without saying a word.

Internet Marketers use words to express a large range of feelings, emotions and stories.

So what’s my point here?

I don’t really know. I know that being an internet marketer doesn’t mean I can’t have more qualities of a dancer.

One of the things that really impresses me about dancers every time is how they give it all they’ve got. They put their hearts, their bodies, their blood, sweat and tears into their work. And that is damn impressive.

It’s also so inspiring how they put their dreams out there, for everyone to see and judge. That’s why the show is just so emotional!

Keep Your Dreams

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts I have been working to get back in shape after a couple of years of not really taking care of myself. I think another thing us internet marketers do is put some of our dreams on hold while we get this internet thing figured out.

So here’s my promise to you:
I’m going to find a way to learn dance again. I might take lessons locally. I might start learning stuff from YouTube. Whatever I do I’m sure it will only help me become a better internet marketer because I’ll be feeding my soul and getting new experiences outside of my current realm.
