World Internet Summit in Review

Phew! It’s actually been over a week since the first day of World Internet Summit and I’m just now getting a chance to sit down and think over what a great event it was!
One of my biggest take aways from the event is something Brett McFall, one of the hosts, kept saying throughout the four days:
“Be the General of the Army, Not the Soldier in the Trenches.”
Basically stop trying to do everything yourself!
So important to remember when building your internet business.

What did I get from the event?
Let’s see:
- One new client already started with me.
- Another two potential clients.
- A speaking gig for a seminar in just TWO WEEKS: InternetSalesSeminar.com
- Many new friendships that I believe will last a very long time.
- Inspiration.
- Motivation.
- New ideas and tweaks for my own business.
- Renewed FOCUS.
- Met many ‘gurus’ who were very approachable and friendly.
Was it worth it?
Absolutely - worth every penny!
I’m telling you - if you’re not getting out to network in person you a missing a BIG piece of the internet marketing equation. From what I can tell NONE of the successful speakers on stage got there by themselves. They built up their solid network of mentors, friends and collegues who all are able to help each other and achieve success through the leverage of relationships.
Of course they also built their businesses on very solid internet marketing prinicipals that work and work very well.

Bottom Line:
If you’re not getting out there to some marketing events and networking with other in your industry you are truly missing out! So check out the World Internet Summit and maybe I’ll see you there!
