Today I was feeling not-so-fabulous about my online business.
Ever get like that?
Maybe it was the full week off I had last week due to being sick. Maybe it was the fact I screwed up my podcast for today (actually, totally DELETED it by accident). Maybe it was the fact that the year is coming to a close very soon. Maybe it was the moon. I dunno.
I just wasn’t feeling like I’d achieved nearly as much as I’d like to by this point in the year.
Then I got on the phone with Shannon. Shannon is an amazing, dear friend who I actually met a little over a year ago at Affiliate Incubator. We actually met at the very last possible minute, when we shared a lunch together by chance. We found out we were both from the Toronto area, started chatting by email and have been fast friends ever since. Shannon doesn’t have a website up yet but when she gets one I’ll be sure to send her some link love! You can find her on Twitter though.
Here’s a pic of me and Shannon at World Internet Summit (and I have to add what a difference I can see in my puffy face from this time last year!):

Anyway, back to my point!
I got on the phone with Shannon and she gave me a darn good pep talk! She reminded me how awesome I’ve done with my fitness goals in the last couple of months. She reminded me of all the personal growth I’ve gone through in the last six months. She reminded me of how I’ve completely revamped my business over the last few months while still making money and creating a brand new long term business plan that will get me on track to my dreams.
Now that is what I call awesome support!
Also, today I just didn’t feel like doing my workout. I’ve been sick on and off for about a month now and it’s really taken a lot of the steam out of my excitement for working out. I know I need to get that back.
But what happened to help me do my workouts today?
Scott Tousignant, my online personal trainer from the Fat Loss Quickie Program, sent me a TWEET asking me if there was anything he could do to help me today. It went a little like this:

After that first tweet from Scott I replied that I needed some motivation because I just didn’t feel like exercising. I just had to smile when I logged back in to see Scott echo back my biggest goals to me – he knows HOW to motivate! I also have the support of members of Scott’s group at the Fat Loss Quickie forum.
Then, as a result of my conversation with Shannon I decided to join Lynn Terry’s Elite Membership at the Self Starters Weekly Tips forum. Now I have an extra support team and from what I’ve heard it’s just an amazing group – I’m really looking forward to digging in, getting involved and attending the brainstorming sessions.
Who else is in my support network?
Mom Masterminds – This was my original online support group and always a source of great advice and friendships.
TimesaverVA.com – Tricia is an awesome virtual assistant who helps me out with projects as I need her.
I love my support network! The people who are there to help me on days like this are priceless and I want to let you know I appreciate you so much!

p.s. – So who’s in your support network? It’s never too late to seek out new people to support you in your business and goals. Make sure that network is strong for days when it gets a little tougher than normal

Hi Angela – just popping in to say I see amazing transformation in your business and you over the last couple years. You're always moving forward and such a motivation to other people as well. We should make a point of connecting some time for coffee and a chat considering we're not too far away from one another!
thanks Sharon! Definitely we need to set up a coffee date, I need to get out more!
