Writing Advice and Tips – Write What You Know
The blog has been quiet for the last few days. It’s because I’ve been spending the last few nights writing the newest report, Market from the HEART, and I just didn’t have any ideas left on what to write for the blog.
Becoming a professional blogger is definitely a new challenge for me. I’ve been told I’m a great writer but I usually don’t feel like a writer at all.
Writing Advice and Tips from TV
It’s funny that tonight I’ve had the TV on and was watching the show ‘Being Erica‘. Erica goes to a publisher looking to get her book published and the advice she got was ‘write what you know‘. I thought that was good advice and went on about my night.
Now about fifteen minutes ago, as I sat down to think of something to blog about tonight ‘Never Been Kissed’ is on the TV and guess what the character Josie just said as she was writing her first article as a reporter? You got it, she was writing her article and her voice narrated: “someone once said to write what you know“.
Twice in one night has got to be a sign, right?
So what the heck is this blog post about?
Well, hopefully it can be a little inspiration to you when you’re not sure what to write about to start with what you know.
When I try to blog about things beyond my knowledge or experience I draw a complete blog and writing is difficult. But, when I write about what I know it just flows – I can write well and write fast.
So I’m going to repeat the good advice to you I got from a couple of fun shows:
Write What You Know

p.s. Another way to get writing great content fast is to use private label rights. I love using PLR to help me beef up special reports or mini-courses!
