Organizing Your Business – How To Prevent Stress, Burn Out and Overwhelm

There’s no denying it’s easy and cheap to get into online business.

It’s a fact that you can get up and running in a matter of hours and for as little as the cost of a domain name, hosting and a free paypal account.

That’s what is so amazingly awesome about running and online business. It’s also what leads to a mess of a business that creates stress, burn-out and a state of complete overwhelm!

I’ve been there myself. Confusion, distraction and frustration. I was going in way too many directions, I had too many websites and my focus wasn’t clear enough. I couldn’t continue on that way so I started on a journey to organize my business, make a great plan and stick to it like glue.

Organizing Your Business

Nobody likes a mess. The key to cleaning up your business, focusing your efforts and making more money online is to get going. The first thing to do is take an inventory of everything you have. Including:

  • websites
  • domain names
  • products
  • software programs
  • email addresses
  • subscriptions
  • etc..

The next step is to get brutally honest with yourself.

Have you ever heard of a show called Hoarders? It’s a reality show where people hoard away stuff in their houses until they become so stuffed with junk and garbage that they are practically (and by most people’s standards) unlive-able. Many people do the same thing with their businesses – they hoard websites, domain names, email accounts, programs and more until there is so much STUFF they can’t see what works, what’s junk and they can’t even MOVE!

So you need to make it your job to start purging the junk. Get rid of the stuff holding you back and blocking your path. MOVE it on out!

I know all about burnout. I kind of fell into my copywriting business and things took off quickly. Before I knew it I was overwhelmed with clients and projects. I realized that I had not created a plan for my business. Knowing how to organize my business early on would have prevented many headaches, but you live and learn, lol. Sounds like your Internet Marketing Spring Cleaning program will help many online entrepreneurs regain control of their businesses.

      Thanks for the comment Kimberly!

I think it’s a VERY common issue with service providers as we are quick to try to get everything done for everyone else without really taking a close look at how much time it realistically takes. then we get so overwhelmed we forget that the internet has so many opportunities for passive income because we never have ANY extra time to even think about that.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to diving in and helping some stressed out ladies see their way through that and build a truly successful business that fits into a lifestlye they love.

BTW – What did you do to overcome your stress and overwhelm? I’d love to hear what worked for you. I do think that sometimes we have to go through these things to really understand what DOESN’T work!
