It all started with this unsuspecting facebook post from a friend:

Then the next thing I knew I had a whole week’s worth of posts scheduled!
I’m absolutely in love with this plugin. It’s called the Editorial Calendar Plugin.
I love it so much I whipped up a quick video to show you what it can instead of trying to explain it in writing:
I’m not sure how much you know about WordPress at this point or even about plugins so let me tell you this: A plugin is a little add-on piece of software to the already outstanding program that is WordPress.
I’ve been using WordPress for my own businesses since 2006 and I’ve spent years learning how to build a website that sells. That’s why when I started getting questions from my clients on how to take their website further I knew I needed to create an intensive coaching program to help more people learn how to use WordPress to create a savvy, useful and profitable website. Check out the coaching program here:

Hi Angela,
Funny how the teacher shows up when the student is ready. I’ve done business writing for a long time. I have found it easy to write for others but when it comes to my own content – I get stuck! So lately, I’ve been on a quest to “let my internal blogger” out. This WP editorial calendar plugin looks like another great tool to get my blogging off the ground.
Thanks… Dawn

I have had such a hard time getting on a blogging ‘schedule’ and I have tried so many ways. Right after I installed this plugin I ended up with a week’s worth of posts scheduled within hours, I just love it!
I think there’s something in my brain that sees that calendar not full and wants to fill it up – versus just looking at a list of posts that may or may not be scheduled.
Anyway – hope you like it as much as I do. Appearently it was also featured on Copyblogger I just found out. Here:

Thanks for the awesome video Angela. We always love to hear about people using our plugin. We have another video of the plugin that shows some more of the features like drag and drop and quick edit.

Glad you finally found something that works for you, Angela!
I will probably stick with my Google-doc editorial calendar, because I have several blogs and my email content as well all in one monthly calendar.
However, you can’t beat the fact that this plugin lets you plan right inside WordPress. That is nifty! I’ll probably try it on one of my niche blogs.
Thanks for the video

Thanks, Angela – this is exactly what I’ve been wishing for. Like you, I’m a visual person and I love the way the Editorial Calendar plug in makes my WordPress posts look like an onscreen version of the big desk calendar I plan all my copywriting projects in for the month.
Like you, I’m sure I’ll be using this for the rest of my online career.
