How to Set up An Affiliate Link Redirect

When you sign up for an affiliate program, you get a long and usually ugly link to use as an affiliate. It’s a very good idea to create a redirect that link for three reasons:

1. It’s nicer looking so it makes people less suspicious that it might be a sales pitch and/or some sort of spam.

2. If you use a system to create your redirects then it’s easy to remember your affiliates and therefore you’ll use them more often and even on the fly when someone asks you for a recommendation.

3. If you ever need to change your affiliate link you can do it in one place.

If you don’t know what an affiliate program is, I highly recommend Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook, that will tell you everything you need to know about making money with affiliate programs.

Back to setting up the redirect. I created a video for you to show you how to do it.

You’re welcome Christie! I actually forgot to add the link to the index.html file so I’m adding that to the post right now so anyone who watches this video either here or on affiliatesmojo.com can just download the file direct. :)

    Glad it helps!
