Teleseminar How-To For Complete Non-Technies
Think you have to be a complete techie to host a teleseminar? Think again! If you can pick up the phone and talk, you can host a teleseminar.
Here are the teleseminar basics:
1. You set a date for your teleseminar.
2. You write up some information on what it’s about.
3. You get yourself a free or paid conference call phone number (like from FreeConferenceCalling.com or Instant Teleseminar)
4. You invite people to come.
5. You send your invites reminders to make sure they come.
6. You show up and talk.
7. You follow up!
Now, the exact route you take to make these 7 basic teleseminar steps happen makes no difference. The biggest mistake non-techies make is trying to fit themselves into the software and services OTHER people recommend to them. My biggest and best advice to you here is to start simple and, if you can, use what you already have!
If you already have an email list, or a networking group, or a website or some form of communication that works for you then start there. Then when you’ve got some experience you’ll probably want to move on and add some tools that can help you improve your results even more.
Once you’re ready to try a new program, here are some of the basic teleseminar hosting tools I recommend:
- A Website or Blog
- An Email Service Provider – I recommend Aweber
- For Teleseminars Conference Call Line – I use Free Conference Calling
- For Webinars a Conference Room – I use Adobe Connect Pro
Believe in yourself and your ability to connect with your audience. There’s no better feeling than knowing you’ve been able to make a difference in the lives of others by sharing the talents and skills you have to share!
